Doom Bar Beer is coming to The Glan yr Afon!

In News on September 22, 2009 at 7:15 am

doomNamed after an infamous sandbank at the mouth of the Camel Estuary in north Cornwall, Doom Bar beer has achieved an international cult status, is considered one of the fastest growing beer brands in the UK and is the best selling locally produced beer in the entire South West region.

Head Brewer Stuart Howe says: “The aroma of Doom Bar is an accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes. The mouth feel is a perfectly balance and complex blend of succulent dried fruit, lightly roasted malty notes and a subtle yet assertive bitterness. The bitterness remains into the finish with dry fruity notes which implore the drinker to go back for more.”

It has won 3 awards:

- Bronze at the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) 2006
- GBBF Finalist 2004, 2005 and 2006
- International Beer Challenge Top 50 World Beer 2006

And it’s coming to The Glan – get yours soon!
